The Windsor Bluefins have represented the Windsor-West Hants Region of Nova Scotia since 1966 and is a local competitive swim team that emphasizes Fitness and Fun.
Who can join?
Whether you are an average or exceptional swimmer, we would love for you to become a member of the Windsor Bluefins. Bluefins range in age from 5 – 18 and you should be able to comfortably swim at least one length of the pool. Perhaps the greatest myth about the Bluefins is: that you must be a fast and elite swimmer to join. This is a myth! Training with the Bluefins Swim Team, you will be amazed how quickly your swimming skills improve.
How often do we swim?
Beginning each year in June, we start with a few practices per week and we work up to four or five days of swimming weekly at the Hants Aquatic Centre. The season ends later in August. As a Bluefin, you will receive one of the highest number of weekly pool hours in Nova Scotia for the cost. Compare and you will see it is a tremendous value. The weekend swim meets are optional and they take place at various pools, all within about an hour drive. Our goal is to make your child the best swimmer that he or she can be while still having fun!
